I love this adhesive patch! It sticks well and lasts a week. Like a lot of things in life, there is room for improvement. My recommendation would be to increase the opening about 1mm on all four sides. It would keep the patch from getting stuck on the Dexcom sensor and would make it a tad bit easier to apply without it getting stuck to itself when you need to unstick it from the side of the sensor. Never the less, I will be ordering more when I get close to running out.

UPDATE 12/29/2017: I still love this patch! Sorry for the picture of my big old belly! I put a new DexG5 sensor and Simpatch on. But I wanted to include a little bit of the other location I apply these (I alternate each week). The opening is a wee tad bit too small to fit over the G5 sensor. But with a bit of trial and error I think I found the best way and the correct amount to make the opening just wide enough to get it to fit.

The Simpatch does indeed last one week. But it does peel away on the edges a bit. It may be that adhesives don't do so well with my skin. Whereas adhesives work better with others. So, with the current one that I have on I put some Skin-Tac on first and let it dry until it was tacky. However.... I did NOT put it on under the Dexcom sensor's adhesive. I put it around the sensor, being careful not to touch the sensor's adhesive. Then I applied the Simpatch. I will try to remember to report back next week.

To James Duffy, founder of Simpatch, our son Vincenzo is a 4 year old type 1 diabetic. He recently started using the Dexcom Glucose Meter. We have to trim the simpatch to fit around the site, but it works great. Vin goes swimming once a week and gets a bath every night and the Simpatch is still intact a week later! He also loves the color blue. We let him pick the color to help create a smooth process when we have to remove the sensor each week and replace it to a different location on his tummy. We use adhesive remover pads to help get the Simpatch off and it comes off smoothly. Great product! I would recommend it to others! We hope to see more colors and maybe even fun designs. I bought these for my T1D teen son to use for his Dexcom, we've tried tegaderm and griff grips. The things I did not like about griff grips, the simpatch resolved. We needed a smaller patch, one that would not get stringy and ragged after a matter of days and that dried out quickly after showering or swimming and simpatch fit all these well. No more choppy numbers after a shower due to the soggy patch holding humidity in the sensor. The adhesive seems to cause less irritation for my son and removes easier and with less residue. The split tape backing keeps the bandage from rolling over onto itself and makes it easier to apply. Some things I did notice right away is that skin-tac hinders more than it helps this patch and it worked better without it. Now we get a couple days less out of this patch than griff grips but with less skin irritation, residue and cheaper, I'm ok with that. We've used them for a couple months now and I'm very pleased. We'll be back for more, hoping for some new colors soon!

This product is wonderful!! I waited to post a review until after I had a couple of test runs. I was able to wear my dexcom for up to 3 weeks!! I also let a friend try one. She had just applied her dexcom & the adhesive supplied w/it was already peeling off. We were @ a camp & it was HOT!! I showed her how to use it (very easy to use!) & she was able to keep her dexcom in place the entire week! The temps were in the high 80's w/very high humidity. She went swimming & also participated in multiple outdoor activities which made her sweat a lot. The simpatch never let go!! She & I both have very sensitive skin. Neither of us had any issues w/irritation from using this. I will DEFINITELY be purchasing this again & highly recommend it!!

Great adhesive and kept my sons Dex intact after a full day of swimming when everything else we've tried hasn't.
