These are decent and I am mostly satisfied with them. I don't believe the range is as far as is listed unless it was open, flat ground. My garage is about 50 feet away from one of the base units and I cannot get a message from inside the house. There is even some blockage inside the house between upstairs and downstairs. I still rate 4 starts because I did not intend to put one in my garage but more to use inside the house.

My mother was pining for a new intercom system after the old wired radio shack system shorted out and died. At first, I found the Hosmart wireless intercoms on a UK website. Then, I luckily found them on Amazon. The Hosmart systems are the best deal for state of the art wireless intercoms. Delivery was super fast by a local Amazon carrier. For me, the learning curve was fast; it's like a walkie-talkie. For my mom, the learning curve was a little steep; it took her a few days, but she finally did. My only complaint is that there is no power button on these units. Customer service says it's OK to leave them on 24/7, but I can unplug them during down time. Here's the thing: There's no clear cut "down time" when it comes to my mother "“ and even walkie-talkies have power buttons. Although Hosmart has the best deal for wireless intercoms, I would have re-thought the purchase if I knew there is no power button. Plugging or unplugging the unit is easy enough for me "“ not for my 83 year old mother "“ who would have preferred the convenience of a power button. And she complains about the blue light because it "keeps her from sleeping." For this reason "“ and for mentioning a power button in the instruction manual, I can only give 4 out of 5 stars to the HY777 intercom system.

The price on these is too much for what your getting. At $140, they are just cheaply made and not very intuitive. Not impossible to figure out, but not intuitive. They should be priced more like $20 per unit.
Saying all of that, they do work and we have not had any issues with them. We have all 4 units just sent to the same number so when we call upstairs, all three kids rooms can hear. I'm glad we got them, it has stopped the yelling in our house for the kids. Worth the money for that right there.

No more yelling across the house for my husband and multiple kids (very large household). Simple push of the button to communicate between multiple story home! No more walking away from the kitchen while cooking fearing a fire! So much help! I highly recommend this! If you get feed back space them further apart as well as adjust (lower) the volume. I can hear all my kids very clearly, even my 6yr old. However I have to tell them not to put mouth at the speaker. Two feet (arms length) away can be heard very clearly and yes you must keep button depressed to speak and only one may speak at a time. The call button is a great way to command attention from sleepy heads, zoned out teens, headset wearing kids, and also for emergencies!!!! Best purchase ever!
