Even tho these are far less messy than the supposed "peel off" lip tattoos, the color doesn't last as long. There isn't really any taste to them and they go on smooth. They remind me of the new Victoria Beckham lip stain but they actually last longer and have a wider color range.
Bottom line, these stain quite quickly and are good for under a gloss. I had to give them 4 stars bc frankly, there isn't much to compare them to! So, if you're into finding a good stain, these are prosthetic best oNes on Amazon, only cuz the "peel off" need washed off and are way more difficult to apply. So, they are worth trying bc I will def use these, for lack of a better product to choose from bc they're so inexpensive for 3. Someone needs to come up with a 5 â­ï¸ Stain and when they do, I'll be first in line. Also, yes, I think these colors would work well with women of color, as they stain well, it just doesn't last that long, depending on how "still" you keep your lips in a given hour 😉

I have used a stain product for years from Morgan Schick that is no longer available. I have been looking for a replacement for some time.
I am 52 years of age, my skin is not what it was 30 years ago! Stain has definite pluses and minuses for older skin.
Most days I find my home state of Florida to be too hot and humid for a full face of makeup (it can literally melt off).
These are the reasons that I really like this product set:
-The stains have decent lasting power. I can put the product on in the morning. Drink coffee, brush my teeth, eat breakfast-my lips still have nice color -about 50% faded-at 1:00P.M. My cheeks hold noticeable color until bedtime.
-Once dry, the color DOES NOT transfer. At all. Period. You can put moisturizer over it (or balm if it is your lips) and still no transfer. Just to test this theory, I put the product on my lips and cheeks before bed. I am a side sleeper. No transfer at all, plus I looked all bright and rosy in the A.M.
-The colors are quite nice. I especially like the orange toned one. I also like to layer the pink and orange. Note: a couple reviewers said there was a bad taste-the products that I received had no taste to speak of.
-The applicator is nice and easy to use. Note: It does hold a lot of product so I end up blotting it a bit to have more control before applying it to my lips.

What most folks will not like:
-If you are unfamiliar with stain as a cosmetic-there is learning curve. It is very unforgiving! You need to work with it at home a few times before wearing it out. It does not wash off easily.
-If you have older skin you need to use a lighter touch. The watery liquid will quickly settle into flaws in the skin. multiple light coats blended with a finger works better for this...which leads me to my next point
-Yes-your fingers will be stained if you use them to blend. The stain wears off more quickly on hands as they tend to get so much more use, but they will be stained for a couple of hours.
-The stain will appear much brighter on dry areas (especially if your lips are dry and cracked).

Overall, I am very happy with these and would purchase them again in the future.

I generally like this lip tint set. When you put it on, it seems to get on your teeth, but it's easy enough to take off. My only complaint is that it does not last very long and requires reapplication.

These are pretty great. They won't hydrate, but you can put a balm or gloss over them. You can layer the color to your liking, although no matter what, the orange will most likely look subtle on your lips. It's brought out more if you're wearing similar colors in your clothes. The red tint is great, and the purplish tint is like a cooler-toned version of the red.

They are all slightly scented. Weirdly enough, I can't smell it from the bottle. I only smell it as I apply it to my lips, and it disappears once they dry. The scents are pretty nondescript, but pleasant.

My only issue is that I noticed a few times that by the middle of the day, after layering the tints on a few times, the product began to bleed a little past my lips, creating these little fine lines of color. I'm not sure how noticeable it would be to others, but it was noticeable enough to me that when I saw it at the end of my work day, I was very happy to be on my way out of the office, because I had nothing to wipe the tint off with.

Maybe that isn't an issue if you apply it super carefully. If it really is just me, I'll be happy to boost my rating, although I thought I did it pretty well.

Overall, it's a pretty interesting lip tint. I would buy more if I knew how to get it to not bleed.

I bought this because I've been experimenting with k-beauty style makeup.

These lip tints smell like cherry (red), strawberry (pink), and orange (orange). My sister said they smell "very strong", and I'm not sure how I feel about it, to be honest.

They're basically the texture of water, and they stain well. They seem to stain well.
