I use this as a means of ensuring the accuracy of my ph sensor, or as a quick gage of ph after changing the reservoir. It takes 10 seconds or so for the ph reading to settle and lock in. The readings themselves appear to be accurate as its always within 0.1 ph of my sensors reading. I do calibrate this monthly, and the calibration process is about as easy as it comes since it detects which solution its in on its own after a few seconds.
My only complaint is this isnt backlit so i need to shine a flashlight on it when its in my reservoir to see when it's got a concrete reading.

Buy this with some good calibration solution. I've fought PH with a cheap meter but this made it EASY with an easy to read lcd display. I don't know about longevity yet but I'm super pleased so far, I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Came ready to go out of the package, I calibrated it, and it worked great. Helluva product, and I usually don't do reviews....

This pH meter arrived in seemingly fine shape but wouldn't turn on. I sent it back for a refund. It's surprising it got past quality control, I know it's the brand new model but come on! I really wanted this model but I guess I'll go with bluelab. I don't want to order another one and risk is arriving doa.

The media could not be loaded. Bought this Oakton PH tester on May 12th, changed the batteries today and the thing is not working. See video. The only way I could submit was to give five stars across the board.

Updated after use: pleased with the device. It has worked well for a good long while now. No issues with the replacement. Rep said Amazon isn't the best place and my replacement came from a lab supply place, I think cole parmer if I remember correctly. Pleased with the way things turned out
Update: contacted mfgr and they are replacing the device. Let's see how that goes
Doesn't read accurately. Expected pH reading 5.4, measured 5.7. Check with better equipment... 5.4. Recalibrate, remeasure... 5.7. Do I trust this thing? Or maybe the known value plus the $2k equipment? I'm gonna go with this thing is worthless
