Just as mentioned by others. Good paper does not bleed and is easy to tear off. However they are flimsy and hard to keep standing up. I attached to easel and it worked well.

These are great for classroom use. They tear along the perforations perfectly and are thick enough to use Mr. Sketch markers without bleed through. Bright white and a great size for anchor charts, posters, group projects.
Great paper - but the cardboard could be thicker

The first thing to know is that the paper in this pad is quite heavy - much more so than the usual flip chart. This is a great feature for preventing bleed through of markers. The pad is perforated at the top of each page, making removal of pages clean and easy. The one drawback is that the cardboard on the back of the pad is very flimsy. I needed it to be rigid to stand up on an easel, and it did not. Some easels will work fine if they clip the pad at the top or use the 3 holes punched at the top, but mine did not work that way. The value, however, is great due to the quality of the paper. We have already used these for making several posters, and the markers take to them very well.
