I think some of the other people writing the low star reviews are misusing the tool. Maybe they're hitting the ice too hard, and breaking them. I'm a bartender in Brooklyn at a high volume cocktail bar, and having had this tapper for a couple of months now I've made thousands of cocktails with it and it's still in perfect condition. Can't recommend it enough, and it definitely helps with faster dilution for stirred cocktails.
