I am a haunted house artist and we use a lot of foam for different scenes. It is hard to find a decent hot knife that will hold up to heavy/extended use for large projects. This hot knife is a dream come true. I am able to use it for 2 hours or more at a time. It never loses its heat. On its highest heat setting it's able to fully heat in less than 5 seconds. It truly does slice through the foam like butter.

This hot knife has knocked out cutting foam insulation boards for hours on end! The lines are precise and quick to get through. I couldn't recommend this enough for people trying to create foam crafts for the holidays! I'm so glad it came with a 2nd blade even though I've had no use for it yet. It's so much better than the wimpy "hot wire" product that I bought before.
