I bought this to monitor a construction site, it's one of the easiest tech products to set up, ever. Works out of the box, menu options are clear and easy to use, battery life is awesome. After a summer of construction we've left the camera up for the winter taking only a few pictures a day - we're hoping it will record the whole of winter from inside our cabin! Very cool, happy I bought this.

I am very happy with this purchase. There was some concern based on other reviews, but this is really the only product I could find for a reasonable price. Working through the menus and options is a bit clunky, but it's all there, and able to be programmed. You get used to it after a few times. The focus is manual, but it wasn't that hard to do. Once you have it set, tighten the screw and you're done. I have it set to only take pictures during daylight hours. The end videos look good, but unfortunately it does record a new video every day, so you'll need to splice them back together to make one continuous video. Overall, I am pleased with the resulting videos.

If you need a camera for time lapse photography and it doesn't have to be super high def, this is exactly the one you want. Battery life is incredible, easy to set up and use, good quality. My only minor complaint is the preview screen is very low def., so framing the shot to exactly what you want can take a little guess work. But the clamp and weatherproof case are awesome, I am a very happy with this purchase!

This is a fantastic camera for recording long time duration events. I am a visual effects supervisor and a product designer. I find this product satisfies so many different kinds of need and is designed to be so versatile and secure and stable that I really admire their accomplishment. I'm looking forward to using this to record the construction of our home very soon. It's high-quality and you'll take really good picture for such a small camera. The fact that you could run for over 70 days on a single set of batteries is another bonus. That is with a very low frame rate but it would be sufficient for construction jobs. The media could not be loaded. We purchased this camera in lieu of a 4K GoPro crazy bad A$$ set up, and have not regretted it one bit.
Yes, the instructions are a little lacking. But if you can bring your mind back to the late 90's and remember the Nokia brick phones, than you can manage this interface. Less buttons, less problems.
It would be better with an app, but you will sacrifice the insane battery life if it is always looking for that connection.
We have found that if you plan on putting this up for a long time period, play with it first. Take some test videos, use those to dial in the focus.
We are located in Phoenix, AZ and have had this unit on civil construction sites in 115 degree with no issues. It does not seem to get over heated in any way, which was surprising. Everything gets hot here!!!
