Terrible item.
Neither the bottle nor the outside carton box had any seal whatsoever, which seems highly suspicious for a product that will go into little person's mouth and made me feel very unsafe to give this to my child even since who know what has touched the inside "soft gels".
Out of curiosity I was wondering: it says 180 soft gels on the label, without seal on the cap, how many are there? Then I counted, of course without touching the gels with my hands, surprisingly and not really surprisingly, there are 170!!!
Can you believe that? So this confirms my concern: someone definitely touched the inside and even worse, has consumed 10 gels and somehow it made it way all the way to re-sell? COME ON!

I love the quality of Nordic Naturals, but quality doesn't matter if your kid won't take them! The capsules taste okay, but as soon as she chews the oil squirts out and her face goes green. Plus, even if she would eat the oil by itself, she's left with the empty gelatin capsules in her mouth. I'm going try to see if I can squeeze out the oil into a drink before I call this a total waste.

I've read that if your children are eating a mostly whole foods diet the only supplements they really need are these and D vitamins. I like these all of my kids can eat them no problem (ages 1,4,7,11) my only issue is how thick the gel capsules are. There just sooo thick and can be hard for my little two kids to chew them, especially important since they don't know how to swallow pills. They've learned how to do it, it was a bigger issue in the beginning, but every once in a while I will still find a chewed up capsule somewhere on the kitchen table. I think she's getting the liquid in her mouth though. I just wish they were thinner and easier to get down for the kids who chew them. Or maybe even if the capsules dissolved.

Use this all the time and I feel like the thickness of the capsules has changed or it's just become a non issue in our home. My youngest is almost two now and is OBSESSED with getting her "viamins" everyday and has no problem chewing them.

Have been using these for years, but this bottle I just received this past week smelled, they also looked darker so I dumped out the bottle and compared the last four I had from previous bottle we were just finishing up. Can see in picture that the ones from the old bottle were nice and golden and the new bottle had turned color. You can also see on the bubble shells where they had stuck together. Not only that you can see where inside the bottle they were discolored and the ones that had hardened and stuck inside bottle wouldn't come out shaking them out. I'm trying to return currently but I am not finding option to return or replace at moment. I am very concerned with the quality of product I received and seeing current and recent comments and reviews I would say for now, buyer beware- ESPECIALLY for the price. I expect much higher quality and quality control!!!

Purchased for nine year old son with Asperger's who has anger issues. He had a bad experience trying to swallow the first one. They are not large and could be swallowed by a child, he just didn't get it down with the liquid and tried to swallow it alone and gagged a bit. I waited a few days and then dissolved his dosage in orange juice. I removed the outer coating with a fork and although he did notice a difference in taste, he said it was weird but not gross, and drank it. He has been having it daily at breakfast and I would say his anger problems have decreased. They aren't gone, but he is more tolerant and seems to recover from anger bouts quicker.
Tip for parents who are dissolving in liquids. In cold juice, I let it soak overnight in the fridge and squeeze and removing coating. If you forget to soak overnight, they dissolve quickly in warmish water and then I removing coating and add cold juice.
