This is a perfect ball for a toddler because it is not too big and is soft enough not to injure anything. I bought this for my grandson who is two, and loves balls in all shapes and sizes. You could use it indoors or outdoors for all sorts of games.

Hard. This is a great little ball for the kid to pay with. Fun character, durable foam, but the word "soft" needs to be removed from the description. I've played soccer my whole life and this thing is as hard as an adult game ball, maybe harder. You wouldn't expect it from foam, but this ball is not something you won't mind getting hit in the head with.
