Should Have Bought These Decades Ago

These metal labels are great. I've been a gardener for 30 years and resisted spending money on proper label until this past summer. I just thought, "no, the labels that come with the plant *should* be good enough!" But, as any gardener knows, they never are. Those plastic little stakes -- if you even get one -- deteriorate before the seasons even over. And they're too short and thin to properly get in the ground even when they are new. What I spent on these metal labels is so worth it. I even got a second pack. They go into the soil so nicely and are still all intact and upright thru a really harsh winter. I'm still on my first set of labels, so I haven't had to figure out what to do when these run out, but I think I'll figure it out. The white background is a perfect match for white label stock. I made these with a Brother label printer using P-touch editor 5.1. You can even put your plant names in an Excel spreadsheet and the editor will link to it and print all the labels.

These are great, a good amount of surface for plant names. I did not use the enclosed labels but used my label maker and this method works great. I have used wood markers but they decay fast and the plastic ones are easily broken. I really like these metal ones.

Very nice quality and as described. The only reason that they don't get 5 stars is that you need to rewrite the labels every few weeks -- even with Sharpie. I guess the combo of sun and rain exposure fades the writing to almost nothing in weeks. Besides that tiny inconvenience, I completely recommend these and am very happy with them overall.
