Rated these a 5 I made a mistake by drilling one of these in with a half inch screw and couldn't remove the screw and I ATTEMPTED take a pair of wire cutters and clip them clamp......boy was i surprise....NO, NO, NO... had to use a hammer; this little clamp is strong.

Nice clamps BUT does anyone read any reviews except the "1s"? (I don't). The 1 1/2" were way too loose on a 1 1/2" OD pipe (I measured with a micrometer). I then ordered 1 1/4" clamps and they were just a little small but will work.

I recently bought a few sizes of Lokman clamps, for multiple applications. I found that they do run a little smaller than the nominal diameter -- 1/8" less than nominal diameter in the smaller sizes. So best to order a slightly larger nominal diameter than you actually need. They are very durable. Heavy enough metal so they are not too easy to bend. Ample amount of rubber.
I installed some on my utility trailer 10-12 years ago, and they are still doing the job. Rubber is somewhat degraded, but still in place, which is understandable for a trailer that has been out in the weather for that long.

I got these to fabricate flag poles for my motorcycle. The box stores sell 8 mm round driveway markers. These are strong enough for flying small flags such as Rt 66 or Patriot Guard or USA. I cut them down to about 2.5 ft as the 4 foot length whips too much and may not make it out of the garage. These are quality clamps with quality rubber. 7 mm is about 1/4 inch, so these are a tight fit, and won't come out with the wind, though I safety wire them. 8 mm is about .31 inch (5/16"), and the clamp has enough 'stretch' to work just fine. The quality is excellent, no sharp edges and the rubber is pretty good looking vinyl or whatever. Time will tell about durability, but I expect no issues. A planned upgrade is to put stainless tube in the clamps and make the poles removable with cotter pins, and for that I may remove the rubber wrap. I did take one off and the clamp is good metal, no need to polish out blemishes on the one I checked. All in all a good product at a great price.
