Originally I gave this hammock 3 stars for reasons described below, but felt like I had to come back and change the rating based on my experience with the company itself. I buy and review on Amazon all the time and I have NEVER experienced such amazing customer service from any company, ever. After posting the 3 star review, I was contacted by a customer service agent who wanted to make the experience better. She explained that Wise Owl is a family owned company and takes their customer experience very seriously. She apologized that I was dissastisfied and offered to send me a double hammock (instead of the single one I had purchased) and some tree straps to help with the mounting, all free of charge. At the time we were in the middle of a cross-country move so I didnt respond. Unexpectedly, she contacted me again a month or so later just to make sure I had gotten the email and wanted to ensure I got a replacement. I was really impressed by this dilligence and attention. I absolutely took her up on her offer, and she even shipped it to our new address in Florida. We have used this hammock once since moving here and LOVE the difference!! I definitely recommend the double over the single and would absoultely suggest getting the tree straps in addition to the rope. Not only are we really happy with our new hammock, we are super impressed with the level of commitment to customer satisfaction from this company. I will absolutely buy from Wise Owl first for our future camping relaxation supplies, and sing their praises to anyone who will listen. This level of service is so refreshing these days!

It works as its supposed to, and is easy to fold and toss in a camping bag. I guess my reason for 3 stars is that its not super comfortable and it came with no directions or extensions, so when we did take it camping (in Colorado mountains) we were scrambling around to get it attached. Luckily we roll with a lot of supplies, but I could see someone trying to tie this up as is- straight out of the bag, being disappointed. I found this hammock more difficult to get in and out than most other camping hammocks i have used, and it's a little constrictive toward the top. It rained off and on during our trip, and this material was easy to dry and allowed us to do what we wanted- hang suspended and watch the world go by.

I like this hammock, but I was hoping to like it more. I got the single and it wrapped around me from waist down, but I couldn't wrap my self completely in it, which I was hoping for. Also, while I got it hung with ease the first time.. once you swing an adult in it for a while, trying to untie the knots to hang it again is nearly impossible. They have been pulled so tightly that you just have to hope you find two trees the same distance from each other in the future. You also don't have tons of rope to work with, so I felt like I had to get trees pretty close together, and as a fairly tall girl with long legs.. I ended up looking like a giant check mark and my feet would fall asleep because they were above my heart, but I didn't have enough rope to use the hammock between two different trees, let alone try and untie the knots. We will definitely keep this hammock as a kids hammock and get me a different one.

Absolutely love this hammock. It is as soft as described and incredibly easy to set up. The material breaths very well and that is especially important on a hot humid day in PA. I stayed cool in the shade while swaying in the breeze. For first time users don't be alarmed when you first set it up, and as you push down on the hammock to tighten the knots, you will hear popping sounds like it might be breaking. It alarmed my son. Just the knots tightening up and getting ready for the ride. I felt perfectly safe. I used a looped hammock rope to attach it to the trees instead of the rope they provided. The company also reached out to me to make sure I received the hammock and asked if I had questions. They also attached a pdf to the email regarding how to use it. I love having the opportunity to support a small business when I can and looking forward to future purchases.

I carried this hammock on a recent backpacking trip in Sipsey Wilderness in Alabama, and I could not be happier with this product! Setup was a breeze, and I had the best night's sleep in the woods that I have ever had. I am around 5'10" and 250 lbs, so I opted for the double hammock. I had plenty of extra room. I had a camp pillow and my sleeping bag between my legs in case I needed them during the night, and I still had more than enough room to stretch out and enjoy the night. If you are looking at this hammock, I would highly recommend giving them a try. For the price, I dare you to find a better deal.

DISCLAIMER: The ONLY thing that I used that did not come with this hammock was a strap system to hang it. It does come with ropes to use; however, I found that (mainly because of my size) they did not stay as taught as I would have liked them to. Grab yourself a good set of hammock straps, and you're good to go!

Truly awesome!! My BF has a couple of ENO and I've enjoyed lounging in them so bought this one for myself. We both agree the quality is fantastic and rivals any of the other top brands. Easy to put up with the straps. Now if I can just get him out of it :-)
