We placed them in our backyard. They are beautiful

The torch part is a very well made and realistic looking product. However the pole which besides being made of sections of weak plastic is way too short. I don't think it could handle any significant winds. It's very windy here in Southern Nevada. I cut a 10' section of 3/4" electrical conduit (metal) in half (I have two torches). The torch part will fit perfectly in the pipe. I cemented the poles into the ground using quick set cement. Then spray painted the poles once they were set. These do not even shake in 25mph winds. For these to look good the top of the torch should be around 5' high from the top of the ground. In the photo you can see one of the torches clearly and a portion of the other one. These made the yard complete imo. They stay on from dusk to dawn because of the amount of sun they get. They look incredibly realistic.

These garden lamps are amazing!!! The pair that arrives come pre-charged and it will last for the first night. Let us talk about the design of the solar garden lamps. The overall base/rod of the garden light is made of plastic. It is pretty strong and pretty easy to assemble. I would recommend first putting in the stake side first before attaching the solar garden lamp to the stake. The reason is it is easier to place the stake into the ground then to try and force the whole lamp into the ground. You really risk breaking the rod. What is unique about this lamp is that it comes with an on and off switch. This makes it easy for you to control if you want the lights on or off especially during times where they may not be getting a lot of direct sunlight and you want to stop use to allow it to recharge. We proceed to the battery and lighting. The lighting is a very mellow lighting. It was design to look like a torch or fireplace light. It gives a nice calming light effect to the garden or lawn area. There is no other setting but the flame lighting but I have not any issues with the default lighting. The battery from what I can tell can last about one night on a full sunny day charge. After a full days charge the lights turn on for about 8-9 hours before it beings to dim due to lack of power but by that time dawn is coming anyways. It is also water resistant so you do not have to worry about installing it in a place where it'll stay dry. It works with sprinkler and hose water. Aside from dunking it into water, these thing will work with water coming from sprinklers. Overall these lights are great, they work well, they are easy to install, and they come with an on off switch when you are looking at long term no use. I highly recommend these lights for any garden/lawn!
