At 83 with aging eyes I use this led Flashlight a lot around my apartment. As I don't see a need for the safety features indoors, I wish there was a way to disable them. That's the reason I deducted a star.

I doubt mine is over 500 lumens and there's no way it's over 1,000 lumens - with that being said, it still seems like a decent value for the low price. I like the option of batteries with triple A's or an 18650. I thought it would have a "memory" of which mode it was on, but it cycles through them (high, medium, low, strobe, SOS) regardless of whether you wait several minutes or even overnight - I wouldn't count that as an inherently bad thing, it was just something I didn't know when ordering it. I'm happy with the flashlight and am ordering more as small gifts.

This is an awesome product! I made up emergency auto kits for Christmas gifts with mylar blankets, a window hammer, etc. These were the star of the show! The flashlight is quite heavy for its size but fits nicely in my smallish hands. That also means it slipped nicely into my already full glove compartment! The batteries were easy to install (not included), although it did take me a few tries to figure out the SOS feature. I tested them prior to gifting and all four purchased worked as described. Everyone loved these! Next I had to order one for my boyfriend's dad. He saw it at Christmas time and really wanted one, too. Highly recommend as a great addition to your car or home emergency stash!
Just be careful with batteries.

Can't understand 1600 lumen led flashlight is not bright enough. I got bushnell 500 lumen flashlight and stanley 900 lumen spotlight. Both are a lot brighter than this 1600 lumen flashlight and even my energizer 200 lumen headlamp is brighter.

I have another similar flashlight and it shines brighter than this one. Seems well made though. I wouldn't count on the flashing light for security or self defense however. They should have a specific button for that. In an emergency you'll never get it right in time.
