My desktop computer has a USB recording interface with 2 quarter-inch jacks for the stereo speaker output. Took a couple years for it to occur to me that an adapter like this one would let me use my computer speakers. Was happy to find such an adapter on Amazon and even happier to find that it worked as I expected. Better actually. I'd assumed it would only work for playing back my home recordings and that I would have to disconnect the speakers and reconnect them to the computer's audio output jack if I wanted to listen to anything else, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it worked just fine for both.
