Very good product, combination of chain lock and u-lock. The chain lock is a cable lock, and its role is mainly to assist the fixed lock. If you have to park your bike on the side of the road, this kind of lock can lock the bike with some fixtures on the side of the road, like big trees, lampposts, poles, etc.

Very sturdy lock

I am a recreational cyclist. I don't use my bike to commute because, well, can't fit all my music gear. So I'm not worried about the weight of this lock. I appreciate that it is a sturdy lock. The only downside is that the cover that turns to cover the lock is hard to turn. So I would normally deduct a star for that, but since Via Velo sent me a new lock to replace it because of that issue, and has great customer service, they get that star back. This is exactly what I need, heavy duty. I love this lock. Long and thick shaft to wrap around the pole to lock the bike frame. The cable is very thick and long enough to goes around front wheel. It comes 3 set of keys one of them has flashlight on it great for night time.
Strong metal, secure cable, great designed mounting is a plus

The metal on this lock is very thick and strong. I particularly like the design of the mount, I put the mounting base on the front wheel frame and it stays there securely. The attaching and detaching process is easy and painless. The lock comes with three keys, one of them has a small yellow flashlight in it. I found it very useful at night to find the key hole. The cable is long and strong. I like this design of having lock and cable separate, so in places that are relatively safe, I can just use the U part only. Over all very secure and strong lock.
The cable and bike combo is probably one the best prices you can get (accounting lock thickness as well) ...

The product does the job its supposed to. Long enough to wrap around the back tire through frame to stand where you lock up the bike. The cable and bike combo is probably one the best prices you can get (accounting lock thickness as well) and it seems full quality. The rain seems to put a little rust but I think that's applicable to all metal bike locks so can't really complain about that. Only downside might be the dust-cover mechanism - a little hard to twist sometimes but just a minor flaw. Mine came missing a screw and customer service took care of that problem right away. This company is one I would definitely buy from in the future if need be and definitely recommend this product. Overall 5/5 stars. And thanks again for excellent customer service :)
