You won't find a better value! It comes with straps! Most of the time will you get a cheap hammock alone with NO straps for the same price of this one. Let me say that I am not the biggest fan of using straps as I am very comfortable with tying knots. However using a wider strap will protect our trees. You simply cannot beat this deal! We have over 8 different hammock set ups, and this is the best bang for the buck. High quality, double-ish size. (there are larger ones out there for 4 times the cost or more) I weigh 210-220 depending on the time of year. This hammock works great. The ONLY gripe I have is the weight. The whole set up is heavy when backpacking. The straps weigh a lot and every ounce adds up when hiking 7-10 miles a day up hills. But you can't beat the cost for what you get. Love the colors available. We have a red and blue one of these. We hammock every chance we get when day hiking or backpacking. My 14 year old son sleeps outside in our backyard with his friends all the time. They seem to hold up well to the UV rays of the hot summer months. No signs of wear other than dirt from shoes. Pine trees ooze a lot of sap, and the straps hold up well even with that sticky sap gets all over them. Great product, I would absolutely recommend picking up a couple of these!

For decades I have been a fan of hammock camping. When I went into the woods, I'd erect a tent just in case of foul weather but most of my relaxation time and all of my sleep was in a hammock. Previously my favorite hammock was simply a sheet of stout hemmed nylon fabric through which I fed spreaders. The spreaders I tied to trees. I lost track of my hammock through the years and tried to replace it with several varieties but there was always some glaring fault with them that rendered them unsatisfactory. When I saw the Honest Outfitters hammock for salon Amazon I thought their price was too low to be a quality product but I gave it a chance anyhow. The Honest Outfitters is easy to get in, is comfortable and feels safe and secure, not like it is about to turn over or break a rope. My wife, who is a natural born malcontent, doesn't like it that the hammock wraps around you like a Zig-Zag paper wraps around dope but I don't mind it and can easily think of half a dozen ways to overcome that "problem." I recently constructed a pergola and by sheer coincidence the spacing of the uprights is just right to accommodate the length of my hammock. I can think of nothing I dislike about this hammock and I LOVE that its storage page is stitched to it. The hammock is very light weight and easily carried in a back pack.

I am very pleased with this hammock. I am a Boy Scout Leader and was looking to buy a hammock to take backpacking. I researched and debated hammocks for a very long time. The thing I liked the most about this specific hammock versus all the others that I researched was the tree straps that come included in this hammock. Most other hammocks use a rope and knot system to hang your hammock. So I was going to have to spend an additional $10-$20 in order to have the tree strap and loop system I wanted. This Honest Outfitters Double Hammock comes with the tree strap and loop system that I wanted at no additional charge (identical to the straps that come in a more expensive ENO hammock). The straps make setup so much easier. I also love that the hammock and the straps all fit in a nice, compact, bag that I can easily throw in my pack. The best part is that I got everything I wanted out of this hammock including: the quality of the product itself, the color, and the tree straps, all for less than $30. I am very happy and would gladly recommend this product to anyone. One last note is that I will definitely recommend that you get the double hammock and not the single, even for single personal use. The double gives you a little more "wiggle" room. I am 6'2" tall and so I didn't want to feel cramped or tightly wrapped up. The size of this double hammock was perfect.

I got the grey/blue (more of a dark charcoal grey, compared to the "royal/grey" with a lighter grey) in the "double" (78" x 118") size.

- The blue color is on the lighter/paler side. In the first pic, it's more like the bag, than the blue on the open hammock which looks a few shades darker/deeper. I was hoping for that slightly darker hue, which looks a bit more modern and stylish compared to the lighter hue. It's one of those hues/colors that are difficult to get right in a photograph. The particular lighting may be a factor too.

- Doing a bit of research, it was often mentioned the wider "double" size was preferred, as it was more spacious and comfy, so that's what I went with. I'm 5'8", average build, and the double feels kind of big - where I often end up fully wrapped up like an enchilada, compared to cradled with an open top like a soft taco. I've only used it briefly thus far, but I wonder if that depends on how big you are, and/or if it has to do with the hanging angles. I've also read it's suggested to lay slightly diagonal, like at 10° off center, which I tried, but it still felt a bit engulfing.

- The carabiner is a bit on the heavy side (62.4g). I swapped mine out with 25g Metolius FS Mini II wiregate carabiners you can get for about $6/ea, plus they open wider, making it easier to clip in/out, and they have fewer sharp edges. The included biner feels slightly rough on the open end (potentially too rough if QA slacks off too much) opposite the hinge, which I think may be a possible factor for those hammocks that've ripped (since they're stuffed in with the rest of the hammock, possibly rubbing against fabric, causing wear). Not dinging anything off for this, just a possible upgrade for people and/or the manufacturer. I'm sure there are cheaper wiregate carabiner options at the factory, as a few of the other similar hammocks on Amazon come with them.

Otherwise, the build quality seems nice so far, and it's a great value considering that it comes with straps, PLUS the straps easily fit in the bag so everything stays together.
