Hammertoe pain relief! Finally!

Ok, I usually don't take the time to write reviews, but this product demands an exception. I have a hammertoe, the second toe on my right foot, that hurts; a callus builds up on the top of my toe, over time, and adds to the general discomfort. This soft device has a ring that slips over the toe, and the padded part rests under the toes on the affected foot. I don't know what to say, except that the thing works! Not a day or two later, but immediately! I have had no pain from the toe or the (now disappearing) callus. Purely and simply, it works!!
Oh yeah, I bought one of these cushions at a local drug store and paid four times what Dr. Frederick's cost... you figure it out.

Took me awhile to figure out that I still have to wear this on the third toe when the issue is with my fourth toe. The cushion supports the fourth toe . If you try to wear it on the fourth toe it hangs off the side. Like others have mentioned, a little stronger band would provide more support; for the cost though it's a good solution. I prefer the support and non intrusive feel of the little velcro bands, but this is a lot quicker and easier to put on. If you have cats, beware, they tend to steal these. ðŸˆ

bought to replace the cloth wrapped foam one my Dr. Gave me. Seemed to fit a bit tighter. (the toe ring "stretches" to fit your toe) but works ok. Much easier to keep clean. Frederick contacted me concerning size and comfort issue and handled immediately. GREAT Customer Service! Thank you! Highly Recommend.

I have hammer toes that partially straightened with therapy during my growth years but recently age and arthritis are causing them to curl back down. The end of my middle toe and its nail was hitting the ground and becoming increasingly painful to walk. These do the trick very well. It takes a day or so to get used to them under your toes but the short time getting accustomed is well worth it. No more pain, easy to put on, even with stockings over them, and so comfortable I forget I am wearing them.

My podiatrist referred me to an orthotics specialist for a custom insert to correct hammer toes, which were limiting my standing ability. The orthotic guy said a custom insert would cost $350 and Medicare would not pay as I am not diabetic. I ordered two pair of these inserts for $12 instead. Problem solved! I note these only come in one size and the few unfavorable reviews mostly complain about fit.
