I used this for repairing my R-134a system with my old manifold gauge set. Just the thing to get if you don't want to pay for a new set of manifold gauges.
Check your yellow hose fitting. It's probably 1/2, this is 1/4.

Just like others are writing, the male output is 1/4. The yellow hose on many gauge sets are 1/2. You may need this part if you buy this can tap.

I kept the can tap because of the good reviews and it appears to be good quality, even though it is made in China. I bought the adapter which arrived 2 days later. A co-worker then put 2 cans of refrigerant (Dupont Cans) into my system with no problems.
What a cheap piece of foreign made JUNK.

I know what I'm doing. I used NO tools. Hand tight ONLY. And, yet the outlet fitting STRIPPED its tread while attaching the yellow hose from my manifold rendering it USELESS. SERIOUSLY. This must be a defect or second. How DARE someone sell something THIS JUNK. God, I miss the old days when tools were made to LAST.

Works fine. Be aware that this hose thread pattern (1/4" SAE) are not the most common pattern for dedicated R134a gauges. It was what I needed for *my* gauges though. Thread pattern is clearly stated in the description; people who left bad reviews based on that were not paying attention.
Good quality but doesn't fit my gauge line

5 star rating because it is good quality at an excellent price. I wound up buying a different can tap at AutoZone because the fitting to the line was the wrong size. I have a Harbor Frieght manifold gauge set, it has a 1/2" ACME hose fitting. You'll need 1/2" and 1/2" can tap. This tap will fit the refrigerant can but not most a/c gauge lines unless you have 1/4" flare fittings on your hose which is not common. You can get an adapter but it costs as much as a new proper sized can tap.
