Wonderful kit.

For a kit that has been around for about 40 years, it has stood the test of time. It's not often that a manufacturer will go the extra mile and make and or modify their molds to make a model kit more accurate, but Minicraft did just that. As with most kits this old though, it pays in the end to pay attention to the fit of the parts before they are glued in place. There are a plethora of photo-etch brass details available in addition to what comes with the kit, and they are more than worthy of the extra money to truly make this a museum quality kit.
This kit is not for the novice, it takes time and patience between the painting and construction of this model to get it to look great. Even out of the box, you can get an excellent representation of the actual ship if you give all the attention to the details.
