tight budget? buy it, baby it.

nothing fancy, just the basics. i would have preferred a little stronger design to the metal flooring pull leaver tool. the 'pull' edge started to distort towards the end of a small project ,100'. the included mallet was well worth the price of the whole kit. if you're on a tight budget; buy it and baby it. if you're not on a budget, there are probably other kits out there that will hold up better, so don't just get it for the mallet because, well, you don't go shopping for a mallet in the floor installation kit section. don't be ridiculous.
Good for a small install (<500 sq ft) - won't hold up long term.

Good kit for the first 500 square feet - after that the metal starts to bend and the plastic begins breaking off the tap tool. Also, the hammer is far too light for 12mm Pergo. Used my framing hammer instead. Tips to improve: double up the steel or make the pull bar from a heavier gauge steel. Also, make the tapping tool with solid plastic and not a web backed plastic. After some use, the hammer blows between the webs snapped it in half. As for the spacers, this design is about useless - I went back to my standby of wood screws for stopping blocks. They stay in place and easy to remove.
Super affordable quality item

Great affordable quality, used for a recent laminate flooring project in two rooms. Mainly used the plastic piece to hammer each board tight, and the
metal piece for using close to the wall. Super deal lots of spacers way more than you'll ever use ! I already had a bigger rubber mallet (which you need for laminate flooring) but the mallet here is a good spare.

decent limited use installation kit

This is a decent cheapish set up for installing laminate flooring> I did about 1000' SF with it and by the end the bar was getting bent so Maybe it's only good for one or two jobs then it's done. If one is doing multiple jobs it would probably be better to get a more heavy duty set.
Please DO not waste your time with this TOY !

Very cheaply made, the pull-bar bent after only about 10 hits on a normal laminate floor, it CHIPPED the edge of the laminate too, the hammer should be used to break dry almonds or kids should play with it, the tapping block DOES not work for many types of flooring (cheap plastic), however, the spacers/widges do work.
OVERALL: I would not buy it again (and i am returning it), please go spend only a few bucks more and get the better quality ones (i.e. roberts, etc.)
and I DO NOT recommend it !
