Quality product, the metal was straight and fit the indicated board size perfectly. I literally picked a scrap board up from a wood pile and cut it, put these brackets on and hung it up. It looks perfectly rustic and its exactly what I wanted. I loved the "strap" look so I hung my over top like the example photo. I used black drywall screws to secure the brackets on the shelf wood and in the wall since my walls are pine. Excuse the blurry picture :)

These brackets are just what I was looking for. They are at the best price point I found compared to other sellers, and they fit a standard 2 x 6 (nominal) board perfectly. This seller also has an Etsy account with reviews that I checked first before ordering. The brackets are well made, and they are all crafted uniformly. I wanted mine to look more like cast iron than raw steel (the raw steel with its variation in texture is still beautiful), so I hit it with a few coats of flat black spray paint. The shelves I simply distressed/stained myself from a cheap 2 x 6 Douglas fir board.

A good quality bracket and worked perfect for my use case. I stripped down a 2x8 and was able to get the board snug enough against the wall to hold it, but having holes on the bottom would be super helpful if that wasn't the case. Love the look!
