Don't be fooled by 'Prime' designation; takes a long time to arrive

If you've got a clogged drain and think this will resolve your problem in a couple of days, think again. The company that sells these devices is in Canada. Their manufacturer is in China. When you order this item, it has to ship from the factory in China. It took four weeks for mine to arrive. The only thing "Prime" about that is there were no shipping charges.
After a week or two with that clogged drain, you'll break down and hire a plumber to clean it out (or use a straightened coat hanger like you've always done in the past). When you finally get your Drain Weasel from China, you can store it away for the next time you have a clogged drain (assuming you can remember where you stored it; otherwise it will be wash-rinse-repeat).
When that time comes for me, I'll revisit this review to add or subtract stars based on how it works. Maybe it will. Maybe it won't. But it certainly didn't do any good on THIS clog.

Perfect drain hair removal

These are perfect for removing hair from the drain. I consider them a single use item. It grabs that hair and it stays on there, very hard to remove the hair from the brush. Also when I removed the brush from the drain that crank handle wasn't of much use. I actually got pliers to pull it out, there was lots of hair on that brush. Well worth the money spent. Just long enough to remove that hair. If you have a deeper plug, this wouldn't work.
When the Zipit tool can't fix it. Move to the FlexiSnake

I have a zip it tool I have been using for 12+ years. That has always taken care of my sink clogs. Until now. Our bathroom sink was clogged and water slowly would go down. I used the Zip it and it we got a little bit faster of a drain but not much. We were going to take the trap apart on the bath room sink and clean it out. However someone saw this on facebook and posted it to my wall. I went an ordered it from amazon. The day I arrived I took it to our bathroom sink. In less than 5 minutes I had the sink drain unclogged. I didn't have the massive ball of hair as in some videos. As this wasn't my only problem. But the Flexi Snake took care it quickly. I was able to rinse off the head after clearing the clog so I can reuse it. I was worried it would have to be tossed after each clog but I think its more durable than that. I will continue to use this in conjunction with the zip it tool to keep my drains running smoothly.

This thing works great : Snap on a wand; insert deep into drain; rotate while moving up and down and side-to-side within drain; pull out hair and gunk; dispose of wand.
I encountered one nit, so will advise: I inserted it into a shower drain with very small holes. The wand collected so much would-up hair, that I could not pull it back out. Fortunately I was able to unscrew the grate for the shower drain. Otherwise I would have had to snip off the wand and abandon it (with hair gunk) in the drain. So be careful working the wand through tiny access points.

My hair gets in the bath sink drain since I use the hair dryer near there. The hair gets caught in the thing that you move up and down to stopper the sink. When the sink drain slows, I know my husband needs to take it out and get the glob of hair. So using this little contraption - it got globs of hair away and loose from the stopper thingy and there's no need to remove it. We only need to do this maybe once a year but still. It's quick and handy for what we need. I don't know how it would work for other issues. It's not like a rotor rooter tool.
