Good for copying old family videos to slightly newer technology
acmeboy•October 14, 2017
Good item. Copying from personal VHS tapes to DVD was easy, once I figured out the instructions. There are many options, but taking most of the defaults produced a good quality copy. The semi-automatic copying worked well.
We were able to share some family videos with other family members.
Now for the warnings about this product:
The instruction manual was photocopied by someone who did not know how to do two-siding copying. You have to read it from "back" (page 1) to "front" (whatever).
It does not handle the more advanced writable DVDs, but that's okay.
It does use the older TV connections, but fortunately, our TV still has one set of those.

I haven't had the chance to put it through the paces.....I'm hoping to do that in the next few weeks. But it works well with what I've tried.
