Originally purchased for a school event for my child and has quickly transformed into a weekly dress up toy. Gold lace around base of hat is good quality plastic. Inner lining does not cause discomfort at least in my experience. Should fit a child's head up to 21.5".
I'd have been satisfied at twice the price.

Wow, the quality, construction, and looks of this hat way exceeded my expectations. This is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. The pictures do not do it justice. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a child (or grandchild in my case) aspiring to be a cowboy or cowgirl.

This hat was just perfect! My nephew made the cutest little cowboy in it. He has a large head for an 18mo (75 %tile) and finding hats for him can be difficult. This one wasn't too small and he didn't drown in it either. The strap was nice for keeping the hat on his head, or even just keeping the hat with him if he flicked it off backwards.
But it is a decent had that is sturdy and will hopefully last him a while

I bought this hat after reading lots of reviews that it should fit my 3 years old head...... he either has an extremely small head, or everyone was wrong. It doesn't fit, its way to large and it doesn't have elastic to adjust to his head. Perhaps we were sent the wrong hat, all I know is it doesn't stay on his head. But it is a decent had that is sturdy and will hopefully last him a while.
