i use it to strip my models that i use for tabletop gaming...i just use simple green concentrate, and with the use of the heater, i was able to strip models all the way down to the plastic that had about 7 layers of paint on them.....works extremely well.....just wish it was a little bit deeper( the tank) is my only gripe

I purchased the 2.5L model specifically to clean my handguns since I visit the range at least once every week or two. It does a great job cleaning both my Kimber Classic 1911 and HK VP9. I use Simple Green Purple as recommended by many other users and run them both through two 480sec cycles. I run a nylon brush through the barrels a few time before cleaning and start out with hot water from tap to shorten the heating cycle.
If I had to purchase another ultra sonic cleaner I would go for a 3L size since the lower receivers are tough to fit in the basket with all the parts from a single handgun, I have found that if they do touch a little it makes no difference in the cleaning but still I would prefer they didn't touch at all.
Overall I am very satisfied with the results and it cuts my cleaning time down dramatically. Please be aware that ultrasonic cleaning does dull the parts down on both handguns due to the stripping from the cleaner. not to worry though, a light coat of MK70 lubricant and they look like new and are protected from the humidity.
Other users have cautioned about not using ultrasonic cleaners with polymer handguns, The HK VP is Polymer and I have not had any issues after at least 8 cleanings, I think they are worried about the temp but it is not really an issue.
Just a side note, do not clean eye glasses in it if you have an anti glare coating on them, because you will no longer have an anti glare coating on them, luckily I am due for new glasses anyway.

First off it cleans glasses really well. And it cleans much bigger intricate things very well too

First one bugged out and acted crazy, potential fire hazard as it ran on its own when plugged in.

Second one seems fine heats up and does its job.

Depending what you are cleaning. I can tell you this much ..
I use this to clean carbs with the basket that it comes with .. installed (which reduces the effectiveness by 15%) and the carbs still come out looking brand new. I use straight "simple green pro 3" and im very impressed
Almost no scrubbing needed
I just rinse the carb and most of the dirt just falls off. Little bit of scrubing for very stubborn rust but nothing more than 30 seconds of it.

Temps get 140°F and 480 seconds of run time
Heater automatically turns off after 45minutes but it takes 30-40min to heat up to max temps with lid on.

I bought this because it had the same specs as a much more expensive model I was eyeing in a sporting goods store. So far it works fantastic, cleaned my suppressor baffles 100% better than hours of scrubbing, and only takes minutes. Some took several rounds but at only minutes it is time well spent. I've also used to clean old, very dirty jewelry and have been very impressed. Simple green in it works wonders.
I would definitely recommend this if you have a need. Saves me lots of time.

I bought this product to make Liposomal Vitamin C. This machine works great for this purpose. I have been very happy with it.
