I had a little trouble figuring out where to place it on my violin but found it works well clipped onto the scroll. The face pivots so it is easy to see as I tune. I have always tuned by ear using a pitch pipe but find this so much simpler!

I like the product. Snarks are handy to have/use but it would be nice to be able to leave on nitrocellular finish without having to worry about scaring the instrument.
