Got a size 7 for my 7 year old average girl. It fits a bit big. I'd have hoped it would be a bit shorter. It's a tiny bit loose but I don't mind because I can have her were layers underneath it. If it manages to stay clean and nice it would probably fit her next year as well.

My daughter loved it .. it's so comfortable and it's stretchy love the color .. if you want it to last I would suggest getting a bigger size I order 7 for my 6 year old she weights 55lbs and is 46 inches
