A few days ago, I looked at a lot of the reviews posted here, particularly the 1-star reviews over the last 2-3 months. I figure is a lot of the bad reviews occurred recently, there might be an issue. A lot of what I saw complained of poor fit, difficulty getting the cover on, and such. I had just received a new J7 2017. Of all the covers in this price range, this appeared to suit my needs. Got it today, and I had absolutely no issues getting it on the phone. While there are no instructions, one of the images in the description shows the hard back separated from the rubber sleeve. Similar cases also follow this example. Anyway, separated the 2 pieces, put the rubber sleeve on, then the back and everything is snug. A trick is you line up all the points on a long side at once, and it just goes on. There is no interference with the camera as some have reported. The power and volume switches work fine. And it doesn't add much weight to the phone. Also, it doesn't add a lot of width either which is important if you use a holster like I do.

PROS: Good stand, good textured grip, inexpensive. CONS: Had to modify because my flash was covered, not much depth to edge surrounding screen, breaks easily.
I guess it's good for the price. It fits in my pocket easier than my last case and the stand is more sturdy than my last case. That being said, I had to melt a hole in it with a hot nail to expose my flash bulb because it was covered and rendered useless. I guess it is not 100% compatible with all J7s.
This morning, I actually dropped my phone for the first time with this case on it, not even that hard, and the corner of the hard plastic layer broke right off, and another corner cracked. Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for. My last case had a weak stand and was too bulky to fit in my pocket, but I dropped it a hundred times and it never cracked and protected my phone very very well. I used to throw my phone on the ground just to demonstrate how durable it was.

This phone case is not the greatest quality, I believe it is because the fit is so tight on the J7 Prime 2017. 30 seconds after putting the case on the phone the black edges began to detach from the green plastic part of the phone case. It ended up breaking on the one corner.

Other qualities of this phone case are good. I really enjoyed the stand it has on the back of the case. It does also protect the phone when dropped.

Nice case but one day the hard plastic broke on one of the shot ends of the case and I ended up cutting myself when grabbing my phone in my pocket. Furthermore the kick stand broke after about 1 month use. Threw it away after having it for about 2 months.

In the eight years I have owned cell phones, I never bought a case. I didn't want to pay the money for something I assumed I didn't need. Not on purpose, the four prior smart phones I owned all had their share of drops on all kinds of surfaces. It wasn't until my previous smart phone that I finally experienced a shattered screen. That was only because it fell face down on a small stone. It was then I realized they don't make phone like they used to. They're so weak these days that one drop and you could be in trouble. So when I bought my Samsung Galaxy J7 V, I knew it was time to get a case. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on one, but I was nervous a cheap one would be a waste. I got this one because I needed four more dollars for free shipping, I liked the look, and the kickstand it has. So far it has done everything I wanted it to...almost. It fit perfectly so no worries there. The buttons and sound all function properly so good to go there. It makes the phone much easier to grip and has greatly reduced the chances of it sliding out of my hand. I love the kick stand for watching videos and playing with it when I get bored. So far, it has only endured one short drop but it handled that like a boss. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the case does cause a slight issue if you have a headphone plug that has anything but a cylindrical end. If the plug has the rectangular like end, you have to twist it a certain way to make it fit and it still isn't a clean fit. It's nit-picky I know, so this review is more like 4.5 stars. My cylindrical jack fits like a dream, however. Definitely worth buying.
