Very nice, replaced genuine Toyota part perfectly, which is placed under the headlight and not protected from the elements at all! The price was 1/4 from genuine Toyota part, and less than half for the comparable Standard aftermarket unit!

Works great except for a slight color temperature difference compared to factory HID Ballast.

This worked perfectly for replacing a busted HID Ballast on my 2007 Prius. Following the tutorial at PriusDIY, it was pretty a straightforward installation. It did seem to change the color temperature of my headlight on the passenger side slightly compared to the factory HID Ballast on the driver side(see attached picture). This ballast causes the headlight to put out a slightly warmer color than the bluish output from the factory HID Ballast on the driver side. Oh well, I'm driving it around as is until I have some free time to order another one of these to replace the driver's side so I can get color temperature uniformity. Giving it 4 stars because of this.

Bought as replacement for an '08 Prius. Feeding the cable through the light housing requires removal of the socket from the cable. Instructions for this operation are included. However, the plastic cap that is necessary to remove was secured with adhesive, making it impossible to remove without breaking. This is my second time replacing this ballast, so I reused the cap from the other one. I used this brand because the previous one lasted for only 3 months.
It's strange that they give instructions for removing the cap, but then glue the cap down. If you get one that has been glued, you will not be happy.

They electricaly work great.

Plastic parts verry hard to open without damaging them. Originals are tougher, had to reuse original plastic head. Plastic parts should come opened. They electricaly work great.
