This works fairly well, is reasonably quiet & has good amplification, but a louder signal (even when you are sure you are not clipping out of your mixer) will overload it and cause unacceptable audio distortion but for $20 what do you expect.

I've had this about a month now.i use it between a dvd player(for music) and headphones.the weight is heavy,that's good,it doesn't fall all over the place.it sits where you put it.the sound is clean.the only issue is all four volume pods are corroded. They crackle and short out between 0 and 3.this happens when something sets around for a long time without being used.i'm going to keep it.spray some cleaner on the pods,and that should fix it.if not,my volume setting is over the rough spot anyway.i hear a slighty better sound using the rca inputs,but the 3.5 input works great also.this is a good purchase.i'm pretty happy since It's for part time use.

I would rate this much higher if the supposed 12v AC adapter was included. I can't use the thing and have to go and get one on my own time when I payed for the product to come with one.
