I have short hair, and the one-inch drum is a little too large. It does a great job, though - just hard to use - wish it came in 3/4" size.

Very glad I bought it. I have another brand that I like very much but it doesn't get hot enough for my curly hair. This one does. It goes to 430 although since I don't need it quite that hot I am very glad it is adjustable. I use it at 405 to 410. Can't speak for the reliability as I don't have it very long but so far so good.
