my Akita has ruined every collar he has had, including heavy, thick leather and nylon collars. thats about six collars in five years. his last collar ripped through the buckle when he was tied to a well built dog run. he saw a raccoon in the neighbors yard and ran full speed at it. the heavy leather collar he broke was well built, but there is no comparison to this one. this thing has hard-wear that could probably hold a dragon.

the picture used on amizon doesn't really show how beefy it is. i are seldom impressed these days, but this thing is serious.

I am so impressed with this collar, I don't even know where to begin this review. When I first opened it up and looked at it I thought it had been manufactured wrong, but when I went to put it on my German Sheppard , everything became clear. Unlike any other collar I've ever seen this one brings the collar around all 4 metal pieces, doubling its strength at the beefy collar ring. Man is this ever one good looking collar I have had compliments from multiple people already. I'm Dutch American orange is my fav color and it looks very handsome on my dog.
The quality of the materials this is built with, is hard to put into words, the material itself is 6 times thicker than anything I could buy locally at pet stores. The stainless steel, the double prongs, and then double solid stainless tabs for the extra length to,tuck under make this collar really in a class onto itself. I really didn't want to put out the bucks this thing cost, to be honest I almost cancelled my order I'm so glad I didn't. No way, No How is he going to even get close to getting free with this on him. I think you could chain two pickups together with this collar in between and it wouldn't break or even show any signs of stress on it. This is a lifetime purchase I'm sure of that. If I'm lucky enough to outlive this dog, I'm sure it will still be around and in great shape for the next dog. It's expensive no doubt, but I can honestly say it's the superior product if you have a powerful police dog like me, or any breed, no more broken collars, no more escape artistry, you will be happy with your purchase if you have the $$ buy this one.

I purchased this collar after my large dog (~150 lbs) managed to rip though not one, but two, leather collars, as well as a lighter-weight nylon collar. He's not aggressive, but he REALLY likes to play with smaller dogs and drool on cats. The smaller dogs and cats are generally not as enthusiastic.

So far, this collar doesn't seem like it's going anywhere. The webbing is insanely thick, and the buckle is very sturdy.

This collar would probably be complete overkill for a smaller dog. But, for a larger or stronger dog that is capable of ripping through collars that seem to be pretty sturdy, this should do the trick.

great collar. we had bought several different collars before this brand. highly satifised with Bully's brand. using for cane corso mastiff. 1 yr old, 130 lbs, 23" neck. not a tight 23" neck but enough to get thru all the skin and not have it pull off. those of you that have dogs with so much skin flopping around will understand :). Link is on the 2nd to smallest hole. wanted a collar that he will not grow out of fast like previous.

I have a neapolitan mastiff. He is a huge dog with a huge neck. To top it off he has a lot of loose skin so its hard to find a collar that works for his size. Most collars disappear under his wrinkles and are hard to use. This one still manages to hide under his skin folds but it is a well made collar and it is wide so it works well with a leash plus it is tough enough that i am confident it wont break when he pulls against it. If you have a big dog and want a strong collar then this is the one. Its strong and stiff at first but it loosens up after a few days and is doesn't wear his hair off after he has wore it for a while.
