Added an aftermarket stereo to our 2008 Suburban. Removed one of the 12V power outlets, and replaced it with this to extend the input jacks from the new dash unit. Fit perfect, even came with different adapters to ensure it would fit / be tight.

Works great in every way. It is used in my car to connect a Samsung S7 edge to Android Auto. This application has high demand for quality data transfer. Two earlier brands/versions did not work, including a 6 ft USB 3.0 version with thick cabling. You should order the 3 ft. version for data transfer. Very happy now. Looks OEM.

Very clean way to install a pair of USB cables for a car stereo system, and they're USB 3.0 capable. Wish the body was a little smaller (less deep) since I had to snake it into a tight space. Same way the cables are WAY longer than I needed them to be, would love to see a short (1ft or even pass-through) version, but for a clean install it was the best option.

ordered this the week before xmas and it came a day late. forgivable since it was xmas and shipments run late this time of year. first thing i did was plugged it in to make sure that both usb works.
i purchased this because i didn't like how there's a cable dangling in front of my head unit while trying to charge my phone. so i decided to get this so that i can mount it behind the phone and use a short cable to charge the phone from behind. i have a 2017 camry xse. if you have the same car, you can remove the vent mount with your bare hands. it easily comes off. just drill a hole and mount the dual usb there. then run the cable down behind the head unit and plug it in your cig lighter. as long as you have one of those dual usb in your cig lighter. or you can even run this to your head unit if you have an aftermarket head unit.
really nice set that comes with everything you'll need to mount this in your car or anywhere else for that matter. this thing has 2 ways to mount so you can drill a hole and mount internally or use the bracket and screws supplied to mount externally. even has a cover for the usb so that it's protected from dust or whatever.

This dual USB 3.0 extension socket came in super handy for a retro arcade machine I have been building. I used it to extend the internal USB ports on the motherboard to be mounted on the cabinet itself so they are usable for plugging in external game controllers. They are a good length, and I like that they are USB 3.0 so if I need to plug in a hard drive to transfer files it will use the faster transfer speed.
