These new light bulbs take a little bit longer to reach full brightness, but when they do, they are a bit brighter than the old ones, made by GE.

I ordered these for my fluorescent work light on my work bench, where I do violin repair. After looking at the ridiculously HIGH prices for replacement bulbs in the local stores, I figured I'd take a chance on these off-brands and it paid off, big time.
They arrived on time, and were well-packaged in an oversized box with plenty of fluff - - they were then found wrapped in foam sheets with and rubber banded together - - the only way these would have not survived shipping would have been someone crush them with a fork lift. So, I was very happy with the care taken in packing them up for shipment. I got them out and installed them in my double-bulb work lamp and they fit perfectly, with the ends firmly attached and the pins tight all around. The light they give off is a bit of a shock compared to what I had been used to, which was cool white for the past 10 years or so, but after using them a while I actually prefer these daylight (yellowish) bulbs to cool white, as they are easy on the eyes and things show up more naturally on the wood surfaces of the violin tops and backs. Very pleased with these bulbs, and you can't beat the price, so all in all it's a no-brainer. Hoping they last as long as my old GE's did, but seeing that I got both of these for less than half the price of one of the old ones, and they seem to work fine for now, I'm a happy camper. I highly recommend these bulbs and this seller!!
