Very easy and enjoyable project

Very easy and enjoyable project. With the holesaw supplied, you cut a hole in the downspout, insert the diverter, attach it with two screws and you're ready to pipe water to your barrel. This unit eliminates hacking your downspout twice with a hacksaw. Highly recommended.

Have had this for nearly two months now, with several rains since. I used a 96 gallon durable trash can as the water container. I have not complaints at all. This kit is very affordable and is just what I needed. Will buy some more for future use. As a side note, it does not take long to fill up a 96 gallon container. It is amazing as to how much rain can be collected from a rooftop gutter.
Best Diverter System

Perfect system for rain collection. Follow the instructions carefully and you will have a seamless setup. What I like is that this can connect without the need to punch a huge hole in the top of the barrel. So many setups have a diverter, but the end of the hose just sits on top of the rain barrel. This requires you to cut a hole and put a screen over the hope to keep out debris. Not so with this diverter. You need not be concerned with overflow either. Once the barrel fills to the top and the diverter hose is flush with the water line - all excess water will simply continue down the downspout. Also, since the diverter hose is installed at a straight angle from downspout to the barrel, air will escape through the diverter hose (as the water fills). So essentially this is superior since you don't have to cut extra holes. BTW - the barrel I am using is the Eagle 1656BLK drum
