The seal in top of it was open and weirdly shaped like someone had attempted to open it. Also it seemed a little empty. Maybe the person who was handling it tried to get a little bit of the toothpaste before shipping it. It was scary looking though. I was debating if I should use or not. I give it a try and it is okay. The charcoal isn't as black as the other charcoal toothpastes i have used. Not satisfied as I hoped to after reading other reviews about it.
Flavor is surprising, but the stuff works.

Okay. So I can't say that this stuff tastes good. It's an odd flavor, almost savory. My son says it tastes like peppermint celery. It's definitely an acquired taste. That being said, it didn't take long to get used to. More of an initial shock. It is very effective in whitening and leaves teeth feeling smooth and clean. For me the draw was the way it makes your mouth look like it's filled with mud. This has been a huge motivating factor in getting my kids to brush. It's a hilarious nightly show of muddy mouths and a lot of giggling. That alone is worth the price. I find myself using it as well as it really does do the job.

I was excited to purchase this item because of the hype for charcoal products. Especially when I heard that it's a good whitening product. It delivered on time and in good condition. The flavor reminds me of mint floss. It's just a subtle mint flavor. Also, it doesn't foam as much as a regular toothpaste does, it stays pretty liquidy. I didn't particularly notice a change on my first try but I have pictures anyway to compare.

This is pretty good. Nice clean polished feel after brushing. It does have a strong Tea Tree smell/taste that might put some people off. The taste doesn't linger and it's not repulsive, just definitely Tea Tree lol. It doesn't bother me tho bc I'm all about the health benefits of EO anyway. I will buy again and I would recommend.

I have fallen in love with the benefits of using charcoal toothpaste, just not the taste of it. With that being said, Pinnakkle's isn't just made in the USA with a short list of pronouncable ingredients, but it also has more of a nice minty taste. Definitely recommend!!!
