Works on Windows 10, budget option, nothing fancy
Ben H✓ Verified Purchase•February 25, 2024
SUMMARY
This budget, usb-wired xbox controller works well on Windows 10. It certainly gets the job done and is very simple to set up. If you are looking for a simple to use, feature-complete controller, and don't mind it looking and feeling a little cheap (but not too terribly cheap), you're in the right spot. I think this is the best deal available as of writing.
PACKAGING
The product arrives in a black box that very clearly reveals what is inside. This isn't a bad thing, but keep this in mind if you are purchasing this as a surprise gift.
TECHNICAL DETAILS (PC)
(Note, i've only tested this on a Windows 10 PC. I cannot make any claim about PS3 or Android phone)
It is wired and connects by regular USB (no wireless or battery option, no built in bluetooth). You can plug this into a USB splitter and it will still work. When first plugged into the PC, it will quickly install some drivers. After that, you should be good to go. The setup is very easy, just plug and play!
PRESENTATION
The controller is solid black, save for the AXYB buttons (which are green, blue, yellow, and red respectively). If you are looking for something that looks fancy or to show off, you're much better off elsewhere. If you don't mind the lightweight, cheap plastic feel and the solid black coloring, then this is totally fine.
It may also be worth noting that the "XBOX button" has been replaced with the other company's logo, so the familiar "X" is gone. The button still works (it brings up the windows 10 game menu), but anyone will be able to see this isn't published by XBOX. Again, not an issue (I don't think anyone cares).
PERFORMANCE
When I tested this controller in video games, I did not experience any input lag or responsiveness issues. All buttons work as expected. Vibration also works.

Good Solid Grip
Crystal M.✓ Verified Purchase•February 9, 2024
This is my second controller of this brand, and this is the updated one from the original I purchased. The grip design is a bit different on this one, but just as solid as the first. Easy to use, plug and play. It sometimes gives my computer a 'this USB device cannot be recognized' message which is why four stars, but I'm not sure if that's the controller or my computer to be honest. Overall, really love this. For the price it's a solid controller, nice weight, great feel in hand, and no slipping. I like that the grip is on the top of the handles. I can keep my fingers loose but keep my grip just by pushing my hands further together and it holds in my palms. Very nice.
Randomly vibrates then turns off!

Rating this as five stars so the truth can be seen. My husband and I both bought this controller and both of them just randomly vibrate and turn off mid game! You have to unplug and replug the controller back into the pc to get it to work. I tried downloaded the drivers for the controller online and the drivers are from 2017. I honestly want my money back. I'm so angry that we wasted our money on two controllers with the same issue. One was bought off Amazon and the other off of Shein. Same exact controller, bought from two different places, with the same issue.
Outstanding wired PC controller, especially for the price

I've been looking to get a wired controller for my PC because my last one started drifting and I decided to go with this $20 one and I couldn't have been happier with it.
It's lightweight yet sturdy, the buttons and triggers all feel comfortable to press, there's a textured grip, the control sticks are extremely smooth, and the D pad has a nice feel to it.
It truly is plug and play as after a brief automatic installation it works right out of the box and the PC recognizes is as a controller with X Box inputs - which most PC games have (I'm still getting accustomed to the inverted x,y,a, and b layout as I grew up with Nintendo but that's on me, haha).
The controller light is a bit bright but not blindingly so, I was playing at night and the computer screen was brighter.
I'll update the review if there are any issues going forward.
But so far, so great!

Great, Economic and Sturdy Controller

Ask any gamer who's been playing for a few years all they will all tell you the same thing, "Controllers are ripoffs" and we're not talking about the special limited edition ones. From the $80 for a new pair of Joy Con for the Switch, $60 for a PS4, or the absurd $300+ for Xbox Elites, controllers are over priced and either don't offer enough to justify their price or offer TOO MUCH that you don't need/never use to inflate the price.
The EasySMX, though a bit dated now, is none of that. I've owned several for a few years now and they are comfortable enough for long term gaming hours while sturdy and weighted enough to not have to worry about breaking by accident. Trust me, I had to toss my first one like 4 or 5 times against a wall to even get one of the buttons to start sticking and it still worked for the most part.
The design is good, following an Xbox style, but not always the best. The central LED light is very bright and a bit blinding. I would recommend putting a piece of tape or a sticker on it to cover that up and not hurt your eyes. Trust me, you can still press the button even with a sticker on it. Another thing that is kind of hard to explain, but the XYAB buttons are a bit too... rounded? I've only noticed this problem when I'm playing a racing game which requires me to hold one button continuously for a long period of time, but the shape can be a bit painful after a long while. I feel like it should be a bit more concave, but again these are very minor complaints I can overlook thanks to the inclusion of the Turbo function.
The Turbo function is an amazing gift that not enough controllers in this modern day include which is one of the main reasons why I like the EasySMX as it is always included in regardless of it's design model from what i've seen. Now, as an older gamer I have early signs of arthritis in my right hand, particularly around the thumb area. So having a game that requires me to button mash a single button over and over again, looking at you Devil May Cry or other combo action games, is actually painful for me. Being able to turn these multiple mashes into a single press to ease the stress on my hand when I feel it is becoming too painful is amazing. There is no doubt in my mind that I'm able to continue playing certain games ssimply because this controller offers this simple overlooked feature.
Overall the EasySMX is a great controller most average gamer needs. Simple and functional with a price that won't break your wallet in these trying times. From a long time user of this controller, trust me. I went from owning one and now I have three. I have not used another controller that has felt as good and easy to use as this one. Even replaced my Steam Controller with one.
