i got the green and tan looking one labeled "green" with red and light blue stripes. it is much darker in person and it appears all photos are lightened. The closest color match is the closeup of the label. While it is nice and warm and fairly thick (maybe 0.5 centimeter) it was not quite the look i was hoping for. I am currently debating whether to send it back and try another plaid, since the colors are so far off. quality seems nice enough, though a bit rougher than expected at this price, it feels and looks like wool does. appears tighly wove with no pulling apart of the tassels. arrived boxed and packaged well. no chemical odors or other strangeness.
Expensive, but you get what you pay for

High quality Irish wool throw blanket works great in the living room for cool nights. I purchased it as a gift for my wife, and I'm really glad that I did. It looks super classy with muted and blended colours including purple. It would fit in a traditionally decorated room just as easily as one with a contemporary look. Very soft, and nicely warm. Have not yet spilled coffee on it, so can't comment on how hard it is to clean.

I use a throw every night and I really liked the dimensions because it covers my cold feet all the way to my shoulders and arms so the length is great. I also wanted a natural fiber so that fits the bill well. However I didn't expect it to be so rough and scratchy because I have a previous wool throw from Pendleton in the USA that is shorter but much softer.

This throw is beautiful and very warm. The colors are deep and defined, not as bright as on my screen but we know our screens can not give us true colors. It is pretty soft feeling for wool, and we all know wool is a bit itchy, especially not good quality wool.
Its thickness is similar to a fleece throw. I think its a generous size. I'm 5'6" and it wraps all around me, but I mostly use my throws to sit on the sofa with my legs up and it covers my feet up to my shoulders with extra left over.
I dont think its thin or small as another review had said (maybe they didn't read the dimensions before ordering), no thinner than any other wool blankets I have seen, maybe sweater thickness I would say.
I am really impressed with this throw/blanket. I may order another color. I ordered the green purple because my family members out voted me on the green one. So I may order the green one anyways. You can never have too many things from Ireland!
