Oh Chromebook, never gonna give you up...

I can't believe how amazing this thing is... So I grabbed a refurbished one of these for roughly $50 cheaper than a brand new one, works perfectly, no quarks, no glitches. These things run android games now via google play and the game quality is stunning. Can handle anything graphically that the top games can throw at you. Screen is bright, crisp, clear, not even sad it's not 1080p. It's a bit thicker than I thought it was going to be but not going to dock it at all. It's a convertible and it's solid. I can man handle this thing and it doesn't feel weak or dainty. It's my daily driver now. Got a game controller with it and now I play games in the break room at work with my hotspot on my phone turned on. Can't wait until my 128gb SD card gets here. I'm going to load this thing up and drive it til the wheels fall off.

OK this thing is awesome!!! Was a little worried at first because I couldn't get the update that allowed the Google Play to be stable but it finely took after a second update. I was looking to replace an older tablet and have been without a laptop for quite some time now and this thing hit it out of the park. After doing some research to learn some Chromebooks offer the best of both worlds so I can use my apps or pull up full web pages. This R11 has a wonderful screen that i havent had any issues seeing from different angles, the touch can be a little tricky for small pop ups but nothing too bad, and the speed seems just as good as my 20gig desktop. For the price I'm not really sure there is anything better, if so I never found it.
Great overall, except the touchscreen does not work.

Overall I have been enjoying this Chromebook. In fact, I only have 2 cons to list;
1. No backlit keyboard. This is NOT advertised. I did not expect it and made my purchase knowing this was the case. In retrospect, I may have chose a different one that had this feature. Just personal preference.
2. Touchscreen DOES NOT WORK! This seems to be a VERY common issue. I should have done more research, as I was very ignorant about Chromebooks prior to my purchase, but it looked great on paper and I needed one for college asap.
I have gone through dozens and dozens of websites looking for a way to restore the touchscreen feature, as it worked for the first two or three minutes of use. I went through Amazon tech help as well. No methods used by any other users online, or suggested by support, fixed the issue.
Those things aside, I LOVE this thing. It fits my needs perfectly (I am minoring in Japanese and was surprised at how simple it is to switch between English and Japanese keyboards).

Error code E3, defective product under HP warranty

I used this to print 3 pages. 2 minutes later I tried to print 2 more pages and continued to get an E3 error code. I called HP and troubleshooted over the phone. It was decided that it was a defective product. HP said it is still under warranty and is sending me another one to replace this one. They took my credit card information and said that I will not be charged unless they don't receive the defective printer back within 15 days of receipt of the new printer replacement.

I would give it more of a 4.5 if I could. I'm very happy with this laptop. I'm taking many college courses and I needed a nice but inexpensive laptop. I've had several very high quality touchscreen laptops in the past. I love the size of this one- perfect for putting in a backpack and taking to school.
