...Which is _wickedly_ expensive. However, regarded as really good horseradish powder, I'm quite happy with it. I use it on sushi, but also in sandwiches, etc. Buying it again.

This may not be the true authentic Wasabi but it's what you get at your typical sushi joint. I've made a paste, I've made sauce and even added into powder Ranch for salad dressing. The flavor is spot on, good heat but not overpowering. Price for 10oz pkg far exceeds the value/price you pay in the higher end grocery stores for jars at 2-3oz. Give it a try... it's what you are searching for

This is a much bigger bag of wasabi powder than I expected, but that turned out to be perfect! I made some vegetarian sushi and it was a bit bland so I was using this wasabi paste, which is excellent with a fresh green flavor, but then I had a stroke of brilliance and mixed the wasabi with some Vegenaise and it was so AMAZING! Then, because at my local store vegan mayo is like eight dollars a jar, I switched to regular mayo and it's also still awesome. I think Wasabi Mayo can rock your world and it would be amazing on anything, veggie or meat. So, great flavor, large amount for the price and usable in a million ways if you want to be creative. Think outside simple wasabi paste and get creative with this stuff. Yummy. I do want to try the more rare authentic wasabi, but I guess even in Japan, since it's difficult to grow, it is only used about ten percent of the time. You can try it here. I will someday. Sushi Sonic 100% Real Powdered Wasabi, 1.5 Ounce Jar . But this is probably better because you can afford to experiment with it. Maybe Wasabi Salad Dressing, Wasabi Crust or Breading, perhaps in Deviled Eggs or on salmon... I could even see some kind of Wasabi dessert...

This Wasabi powder is perfect. You can make as much or as little as you like and when you want - so it's always fresh. The Wasabi powder is so much better -- especially if you read the ingredients of the Wasabi paste -- why do they need egg yolks in it? Ugh. I would recommend this product.
