Our 12 year old grandson loves this board. He is looking forward to standing, just hasn't had enough boat time yet. However, I have noticed that our granddaughter who is 8 and thin, has a harder time so far. Definitely would buy again with the rope they recommend. It goes off and in the board very easily.
