heavy duty material but hem rope was cut in places where the grommet cutter took a chunk out. Again as other reviewers stated the QC process was lacking as these cuts will effect hem integrity. Time will tell about durability but optimistic given quality of tarp material.

I ordered the 18x24 16 mil tarp to cover my 20' center console boat. It arrived on a rainy Friday just before dark and since we were expecting several days of heavy rain I immediately unpacked it and pulled it over the old tarp which was no longer serviceable. Upon securing the tarp with bungee cords I noticed that several of the grommets were damaged in the crimping process and one was missing one half and later the other half fell out. Two days later I noticed that over half of the so called brass grommets were already rusting and in one case rusty water drops were visible on the white side of the tarp. Knowing that brass won't rust I confirmed my suspicions with a small magnet, brass won't be attracted to a magnet either only steel or iron will. These were actually very thin steel grommets coated with a shiny brass colored finish. The he manufacturer was untruthful about material used to make the grommets and also the quality of the grommets was poor as was the workmanship to install them. Adding insult to injury, the distributor emailed me a thank you note describing stringent quality and brass grommets along with a final insult indicating that their tarps have strong brass grommets every 18 inches and if one happens to be damaged or unusable there was another one nearby. That's like saying if one egg in your dozen is broken you have 11 more from which to choose. Extremely disappointed I called Amazon and received excellent support and a resolution, I give Amazon 5 stars for their outstanding support.

No quality control, obviously. No inspection for clearly defective grommet-hole misplacements and also missing grommets, rendering item worthless for attaching bungie cords or guidelines.
Very disappointing, especially after the wait for delivery.

The thickness of the tarps is very nice and what I expected. The quality control on the product is not acceptable - the grommets are not stamped in all the way, the grommets are stamped in a varying places, some of the grommets fell apart as I opened the package, and the corners are not finished. I purchased two tarps so it was obviously not just one bad tarp that slipped through inspection.

After shopping for an RV cover and finding mediocre reviews on them, we decided on a large tarp. This one is PERFECT!! It's thick and strong. The gromet holes are strong and secure, so we just used bungee cords to loosely anchor it down. It actually keeps our 31 foot TT cooler on the inside! It has withstood heavy rains and winds, as well as 90 degree sunny days. This was definitely a great buy because I think it will last for many years. All the reviews I read about RV covers said they only lasted 1 or 2 seasons. This tarp was well worth the price!
