These are totally awesome and don't require any set up. Just pop one on top of your jar, screw on the ring and your are done. Would highly recommend these and they don't stick up like the plastic ones where you have to add water. Glad I purchased them.
Not for me!!

These did not work for me 😕 I had to chuck to many batches... it did not keep sealed/pressure good enough to ferment to me.!! I Returned them.
All I can say give it a try it may work for you.

These are easy enough to use, but beware not to over-tighten the lids using these, as that can make the lids really really hard to remove. They should be called pickle nipples because that is what they look like and they puff up when the ferment really gets going and then if you squeeze them they may even squirt. I use these lids with glass fermentation weights but for some ferments such as sauerkraut I prefer to use a 4 ounce mason jar inside my wide-mouth canning jar and then I need a solid, non-flexible airlock lid to hold the little canning jar down.
Easy to use, easy to clean, affordable.

I LOVE these! I was looking at lots of airlocks and fermentation crocks but decided I didn't want to spend that much money. These are perfect! I use one of my milk Kefir every day, and I have three more to use on my other fermented foods as I make them. They are easy to use, easy to clean, and I haven't had any problems with my ferments (like bacteria, etc.) while using these. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to start fermenting.
I probably wouldn't recommend using these for garlic.

The only down side to these that I have found, is that one of my first projects was fermented garlic and now I can't get the smell out of one of them..
