Good quality can, toss the hose.

The can is very solid feeling, and the fittings are good too. I really like that they include several fitting sizes and oring for each. They also include the oil resistant thread seal tape, and lots of it. I had plenty to cover both fittings and the dipstick thread as well. Remember to wrap the tape around approximately three times, and in the correct direction so it won't unravel the tape as you tighten the threads. I still had so much tape I could have wrapped everything again.

As others have said, the hose is...well. It is listed as high pressure fuel hose. After extensive testing, I found it will only collapsed under the extreme pressure of blocking one side and inhaling through the other. I wouldn't even bother. I personally like the multiduty hose you can find at most auto shops.

After driving it 40 miles, it doesn't appear to have and vacuum leaks, but I'll still do a spray down test as well.

After a couple of days of driving, impatience got the better of me. I popped it open and found some fresh oil caught. Not much, but more than I'd like to see. So it not only caught some oil from being burned off, but it also told me I have a bad PCV valve. Nice benefit there!

The hose for mine is a 5/16...part number H1704 at napa. Other hose sizes will be similar numbers. Only a couple dollars per foot. The clamps worked perfectly for the hose too.

Edit: No idea why I gave this 4/5 stars. Absolutely deserves 5/5, apologies to the seller/company.

Replaced my PCV valve and pulled the can again. I don't know how well it show in the picture but it really looks like chocolate milk, so it is working phenomenally. Here's to hoping it doesn't have to work overtime now! My 30 year old motor is stock, but sounds incredibly smooth even at high rpms, so hoping this will help with any further excessive wear and keep it running even longer.

Solid catch can for the price

First off, the kit did not come with instructions. That being said, the install is fairly straightforward albeit takes some fabricating skills. Plan where you want to install them before hand. More than likely you will have to fashion a bracket to mount them to and every vehicle is different. In my case, I placed them near the firewall and used adjustable shelving rail to make brackets that allowed me to use existing fasteners. The steel wool goes inside the can, just place it in the can and make sure there is a half inch or so of space above the wool to the lip. Removing the dipstick from the can will also make it easier to screw the can on. Another note is that the included teflon tape, hose clamps and hose are junk. For the hose, it is made of soft rubber and is way too short. I bought 10ft of 3/4" vacuum/fuel hose from O'Reilly's and ended up using around 8ft total. You can also get good quality hose clamps there as well. Each kit only gives you two and you need 4 total for each can, additionally they deformed and fell apart when I tried to tighten them. Each kit comes with a variety of nipples that will allow for a variety of hose types which was nice. I was also able to remove the factory connectors from the original hoses and use them with the new hoses which definitely made installation simpler. I would definitely purchase a can for each path that your vehicles PCV system has. In the case of my 2014 F150 Ecoboost it was two, one for each valve cover. There is debate on whether you need two or only one. This is where researching how your vehicle's PCV system operates is important. For the Ecoboost engine, the system vents through the passenger side valve cover when the engine is not under boost (idle, lower RPMs) and vents through the driver side when under boost (accelerating, higher RPMs). The photo of the two bottles shows what my cans captured after about 1000miles of mixed driving (majority of it was highway). The bottle on the left is from the passenger side can (it was mostly oil and combustion vapor condensate) and the one on the right is from the driver side (about 50/50 oil/combustion vapor and water condensation). Now, I am sure that I am not capturing 100% of the vapors but I am satisfied with what I AM capturing I am getting the majority at least. I am giving this kit 4 stars due to cheapness of the clamps, hoses and thread tape (but what do you expect for $26) as well as the lack of instructions, but overall I am happy with the can itself. I will note that I was not able to figure out what the O-rings were for.
Decent quality, but no instructions, mount and hose is questionable

First of all.
There are no instructions on mounting with the parts included. You have to figure out how this thing can be mounted. There is some course screen material in the parts bag you are supposed to insert in the cup to apparently, to help separate the liquid inside but no information on this. Only two hose clamps, but you would need at least 4 to complete the connection for in and out to your vehicle?
There is no simple way to mount this without creativity or an extra bracket.
This is decent metal can, but you should lube the cup threads so you can unscrew it later.
The vacuum in and out tubes are flimsy, not sure how long they will last.
For the price its decent.
Works like it should

With a little bit of modification to the bracket and drilling a couple extra holes it fit perfectly where I wanted and the braided hose they provide is the perfect length to reach both the ports on my 5.3 ls engine, would definitely buy again
Get yourself different hoses as those hose that came with the kit is junk
Rubicon77✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 15, 2023
As you can see in my photos works perfectly we've gotten myself. Hose at autozone took a fit in and they were able to find a hose. That just works close enough once clamped.
I purchased about 5 feet and did not use it all and made my own mount. On a 2014 Jeep JK with a 114000 miles. And that was about 5000 miles worth of oil.
