Screwed up my Fitbit.

I bought this because I lost my original charger and didn't want to pay the $20 for one. I used this charger and left it overnight. The next morning I grabbed my Fitbit and when I went to look at the time later, the first screen on my Fitbit was the charging screen with 3/4 of the way charged. My Fitbit was off the charger for a couple hours at this point. I wasn't able to reset my Fitbit and now it is having issues and not notifying me when I have a text or call. The other data on my Fitbit is not accurate either. It said I did 30 minutes of exercise when my walk to work is normally 17 minutes. This charger screwed up my Fitbit. A day later, my Fitbit died. I am extremely frustrated and angry that my product is messed up. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

By the way, here are some Trouble Shootings for your better use:
1. Designed for Fitbit Alta only, not for other models. No reset function.
2. Please connect it to the USB port on the computer for charging.
3. If you connect it to the adapter, the current must not exceed 1A.
4. When charging, please make sure that you have plugged it into your fitbit correctly(the metal contact should be aligned with the interface of your fitbit)
5.Only for fitbit Alta,NOT for fitbit Alta HR "‹

I'll keep this simple. This aftermarket charging cable charges my Fitbit Alta, but it takes a little effort to get the device to align with the charging cradle. It doesn't work like the original fixture but it does charge the Fitbit.
I am a long time Fitbit user and have had a few of the different models over the last 4 years. I have finally solved the battery life problem. It's simple. Charge the Fitbit device from your PC / Laptop / etc. After three years of head scratching of why all of sudden my battery was lasting why my Fitbit battery was lasting only a couple days, I finally Googled the problem and found a simple solution. I started charging the Fitbit from the computer, and immediately my Fitbit went back to lasting about a week. I've had my current Fitbit Alta since it was released. My battery lasts about a week and I only charge off the computer. Try it!! You'll like it!!

One of the chargers arrived broken in the sealed package. Since the price was so reasonable, I didn't mind that much. However, the other one broke within a couple of weeks, so I am once again without a charger. Not very happy.
UPDATE 10/16/17: The company graciously contacted me and replaced the item quickly. Both chargers arrived intact and I feel very confident they will perform as promised. If there are any issues I will update further, but based on their customer service and the replacement I would definitely order again. One of the chargers is happily working right now!!
