Not as good sound as JBL Flip 4 but very very very close. Stupid looking wolf art.

Okay, I have a Bose Revolve + (good for surround sound in a large room-living room) and it stays there, it's heavy and larger and even though it has a handle, I'm leaving it at home....and a, JBL Flip 4 (best sound for clarity
in a smaller room (like bathroom/bedroom) but wouldn't take it everywhere because it has no handle on it and it's likely to actually roll (off something maybe)...(I'm picky)............and then this little gem the Doss. I like the green and the handle on it because it's what I would grab if taking on a hike or to the beach. It's durable and nice. I just wish it didn't have the stupid looking (sorry Doss) wolf art on the front. Looks like it's meant for children. And the lights in the eyes? Come on, although could be life saving in some situations that person not smart enough to be able to work wireless blue tooth devices might get into....I'm 54 and well, let's just say I don't live dangerously...a.k.a. stupidly. Need those goofy lights? Think not...so will not turn on. Might black out the wolf face with a dark green permanent marker if I can find one (yes it really bothers me ha ha). Okay now the sound. It's what I'd call very very very good for a $32 device. I wouldn't crank it up and expect no distortion, but I'm satisfied with what I can hear at normal listening volumes. You won't impress your whole party (unless it's a quiet cocktail party) with it's bass or whatever the "other" is for that matter, but they also won't be commenting on what a crappy speaker you have either. So...if you don't mind having a smaller speaker (it's about the size of 1/2 a kleenex box (which is great)...and having a stupid wolf face on the front (with eye that glow / or flash / or SOS signal...or not you can leave them off - yes you guessed it I do) and like pretty good at normal volume sound and want to be able to grab that great handle and swing it around in the woods on the boat or at the beach then this is the one you want. If you want amazing perfect deep bass surround sound go for anything Bose. Need something great but not as expensive as Bose ---it's JBL all the way. That's all you really need to know. :) Love y'all. Happy Listening.

Owned the traveler for over 4 years. It's amazing sound and helpful lights have been on many family trips. It's always on the top of the packing list. From hot sunny beaches to cold mountain slopes, it's been rock solid. Search no further.
Could be louder.

Could be a bit louder. The bass is good for it's size. The fox eye light are great, they have 3 intensity settings, and a strobe and SOS setting. Water resistant. Use them all the time in the yard. Battery life is great. Did about 5 hours of podcasts the other day on about 70% volume, only went down to 60% battery from full charge. Price was good. I'd give 4 and a half stars if I could. Max volume could be better, but so can my hearing from years of metal concerts and full blast headphones.
Good sounding, heavy duty speaker with stereo capabilities

Bought one of the traveler speakers after hearing one while on a sales call at one of my accounts. The speaker filled a big back room of a grocery store with quality sound.
After I purchased my first speaker I was informed by the person who had the speaker I originally heard that you could buy a second one and the 2 speakers will connect with each other which you then connect to your Bluetooth device. Directions for this process are included. Now I can enjoy quality stereo sound. It will also come in handy for when outside by the pool. Won't have to have one speaker blaring to immerse the area in music. I can strategically place them to enjoy the tunes.
Highly recommend this mighty little giant!

I've owned this speaker now for almost a month, first use was December 30th, so I figure I'd drop a quick review on it. I have not taken this speaker on a hike or used the included strap as this speaker's only job is to be used as a shower speaker. We used to use a TDK Trek 360 which sat on our toilet while we showered but the bluetooth connectivity and battery life were becoming an issue. It's entirely possible it was my old phone's fault but either way, it was annoying, so off to Amazon I went to find a replacement. I looked into multiple speakers, I'm always browsing for new ones anyway, and I came across this one. I liked the wattage, the reviews, the IP rating, and figured my wife might like the fox design on the front so I bought this one for $35.
We got the speaker and charged it for 12 full hours, like the instructions said to do, before using it and we have now used it for 27 showers without recharging it once yet. *Finally had to recharge it after 30 days of use - recharge only took about 1.5 hrs*. We keep the speaker at about half volume and it's plenty loud as we decided to test the IP rating by keeping this one in the shower. It has shown zero ill effects of being splashed every night so I can attest the speaker can at least stand up to a pretty solid downpour if you take it out and about. The rating of IPX6 does allow water streams so I would expect no less.
Sound quality is also very good, particularly for the price range. The music sounds full, though the highs seem to overpower the mids and lows a little bit, but that's just being nitpicky. The equalizer on my phone is set to neutral so that's all the speaker. Even during a bass heavy song the highs still come out more pronounced so don't expect table rattling bass with this one. I don't care for enhanced bass or bass heavy sounds anyway, never have, so that doesn't bother me at all.
*Tried the speaker phone the other day and no complaints from the people I called about the sound being bad or echo-y so thumbs up on using it with your phone as well.*
The included flashing light is kind of fun but I'm not trying to give me or the wife a seizure while we shower and we're not the clubbing type so it's only used for fun every once in a while. The light on the bulbs is very bright though and could easily serve as a flashlight or distress signal at night. All in all, well worth the price of admission.
