I was worried about the gloss of the card and such but it is find.,, I would of went with cards at 4" by 4" but I did not see them.. the gloss and paper luster is fine don't worry about that they are good. in the image I am introducing the cards to a 9 x 9 square board for playing some new game things --- if I had 4" by 4" I would make tarot with them we will see.
Lots of uses!

I use these little cards for a variety of art projects. They are thick and sturdy enough for making reusable flash cards or games, and also perfect for making decorative nameplates for a dinner table. My daughter loves using them to make inspirational message and famous quotes cards for her bulletin board.
The card itself has some kind of coating but is still matte in finish. I've written on them with a wide variety of pens and markers and the cards take almost all types of ink very nicely; Sharpies and other markers being the best, and fountain pen inks my least favorite. I like that the cards were plastic-wrapped in four little decks: the unused cards stay nice until I need them. Each of my packs had between 55-60 cards.

The cards work fine for what they are

The cards work fine for what they are. I'm using them to prototype a game; they take Sharpie like a champ.
Downsides:
1) They're for prototyping and they're not particularly sturdy. They will bend.
2) These don't shuffle well, probably as a result of the matte finish.

Good Quality, but not “Matteâ€

I would have given these cards 5, but I couldn't. These cards are the right size, perfect rounded corners "” sturdy, but not rough. On the contrary, they have a beautiful smooth finished. The only "but" is that I ordered them bcz they are described as Matte, but they are not ðŸ'.
I used fineliners for my drawings and the ink takes too long to dry. Otherwise, if you are using them for something else, I'm sure they'll be fine.

When painting these, you need around 5+ layers for a deep color, but 1 layer works fine if you want a light coloring. The yellow of the floor card above is 1 layer, and the red backs and fronts of the other 3 card pictures have at least 4 layers of paint. These are nice and sturdy, and stickers tend to stick on it just fine. it also drys in a reasonable about of time, one layer should be dry after you paint about 60 of them. I didn't time it. I used this to make the flooring, event, item, and omen cards for a home made version of Betrayal on the House on the Hill, based on Jim Henson's Labyrinth Board Game. I'm so happy these cards worked out for this!
