Works great, plug & play.
Carlos C.•July 19, 2018
I used this on a headless server that I frequently remote into. It keeps the resolution at 1920x1080 or can even go up to 3840x2160 if your card supports it. Definitely one of those set it and forget it types of hardware, haven't had a single issue with it.
Worked on the first try!
Jody Smith•June 28, 2018
So far so good. Only had 1 day. Plugged into my Mac Pro through a mDP to HDMI adapter and the computer immediatly saw it as a 1080p display. Exactly what I needed.
Works Great for 1080p Output
iappletech128•June 19, 2018
I'm not sure why it says 4K on the device, because it only outputs at a max of 1080p. With that said, it does exactly what it is intended to do. It works perfectly with no issues, and even has a little blue light on the back to let you know when the device is active. It's a great way to run a computer headless and get 1080p video via a VNC service.
Great while it worked, but only worked for a couple of weeks.
Mike Marzano•June 11, 2018
Worked for 3 weeks, now it doesn't. Windows initially showed it as a monitor, now its shows as an unknown device, and all attempts to remove/re-install fail. So much for $8.
Simple Solution for Laptop Remote Connection
SCThreeBoys•April 15, 2018
Works as expected. I stumbled on this HDMI dummy solution to keeping a laptop lid closed and having peripherals (keyboard, mouse) not be put to sleep by Windows when using a remote connection.
